I’m an old-school hardcore punk/anti-racist skinhead girl who has been fighting the power my whole life. From fighting neo-nazis with Anti-Racist Action to holding batterers and sex offenders accountable as a crime victim advocate to fighting big corporations at the legislature…I have tried to improve systems so that the voices of the voiceless or injured are not only heard but at the table. I have worked for nonprofits my whole career and am an expert in nonprofit management. I am also a lobbyist and know my way around a legislative process. Nonprofits often work on a shoestring, so I am a jane of all trades and have become a master of a few of them. The skills I bring to Sonder come from my professional work in law and politics and the non-profit sector plus my passion for helping folx use their personal power to change the systems that oppress them. I am currently 1 +-year alcohol-free and on a path of healing from some old trauma. I am honored to bring my skills to Sonder as a Guide and to help shape this awesome community. When I am not trying to create good laws (and stopping shitty ones) I am usually on my bike, on a hike, or in a hot yoga studio. My recovery superpower is movement.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Team - Ashley C (she/her) Sonder Founder</image:title>
<image:caption>Hi, y’all. I am Ashley, a grateful member of the Sonder leadership team and community, a parent to two little people, a partner to one amazing human, and a dog mom x2. On a recovery path for 9 years and alcohol-free for over 5, doing the work to heal has been the hardest and the most rewarding thing I’ve done. Bravely facing generational trauma, reparenting / inner child work, and codependency have been critical to my recovery. My favorite things involve music (especially jam bands), nature, and travel. I enjoy putting ideas into action and making things better collaboratively. What is my recovery superpower? Embracing authenticity in myself and in others.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Team - Amanda O'B (she/her) Sonder Founder</image:title>
<image:caption>Hey friends, I’m Amanda O’B (aka AOB) located on Adena/Hopewell/Osage land - colonially known as Louisville, KY. Nature, magic, and community saved me. Meditation has also been a huge part of my recovery, and I lead guided meditations on my Monday night call. Learning to live af has been a path of loving who I am and learning that my sensitivity is not a flaw. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in counseling so that I can do this recovery shit full-time. Four and a half years alcohol-free, and I am stoked every day that I get to cheer others on their journey. My recovery superpowers are boundaries for days and urge-surfing like a mermaid.</image:caption>
